Yugong Photovoltaic Pile Driver Success Case - Ground-Mounted Photovoltaic Power Station Project in the Philippines

Construction Challenges & Client Pain Points

1. Complex Dual-Layer Geological Conditions: The site consists of soft muddy topsoil and medium-hard tuff rock underlying layers. Ordinary spiral piling machines can only drill shallow soil layers and cannot penetrate hard rock strata, failing to reach the designed anchoring depth and causing insufficient foundation stability.

2. High Risk of Equipment Sinking in Rainy Seasons: Long-term rainfall saturates the surface soil, resulting in low ground bearing capacity. Traditional light-duty piling rigs are prone to slipping, sinking and difficult field transition, severely affecting continuous construction progress.

3. Strict Piling Verticality Standards: Mass photovoltaic piles require consistent verticality and uniform depth. Deviated piles will lead to bracket installation errors and secondary rework, greatly increasing project cost and delaying construction period.

4. Intense Construction Schedule Pressure: The photovoltaic project has fixed grid-connection deadlines. Large quantities of piles need to be completed in a short period, requiring high daily output and low failure rate of piling equipment.

Equipment Selection & Solutions

The project adopts our heavy-duty crawler photovoltaic pile driver with dual drilling and rock-breaking functions, providing a fully customized foundation construction solution adapted to Philippine tropical climate and complex stratum conditions:

1. Equipped with dual working modes of spiral drilling and DTH impact rock breaking, the equipment efficiently drills through soft soil layers and breaks underground hard tuff rock, ensuring all piles reach the standard anchoring depth and meet anti-typhoon foundation requirements.

2. Adopts widened and lengthened crawler chassis design to reduce ground pressure, effectively solving equipment sinking and slipping problems on rainy muddy sites, realizing flexible cross-terrain transition and all-weather continuous operation.

3. Built-in real-time vertical monitoring system dynamically corrects piling angle during operation, precisely controlling pile verticality error within industrial standards, eliminating rework risks and ensuring consistent foundation quality of the entire power station.

4. Optimized hydraulic power system adapts to high-temperature and humid tropical working environment, maintaining stable high-load operation without overheating and failure. Combined with standardized operation guidance and 24-hour remote technical support, it ensures efficient and orderly progress of mass piling tasks.

Project Achievements

In this Philippine large-scale photovoltaic power station foundation project, our solar pile driver achieved stable continuous piling and one-time forming of all spiral piles. The equipment successfully penetrated complex soil-rock composite strata, with all pile depth and verticality indicators fully meeting the project design standards. Zero equipment sinking, zero construction rework and zero safety accidents occurred throughout the construction process.

The project completed the mass foundation piling task ahead of schedule and successfully passed comprehensive inspection and acceptance. With excellent stratum adaptability, high construction efficiency and stable all-weather performance, our photovoltaic pile driver has been recognized by local engineering contractors.
